Luminous glows of pale moonlight
Encapsulate my body in white presence,
While I sleep, lucid and flowing,
Into the dream dance.
I move with gentle motion,
Stepping through the mist at my feet,
The musky smells of nature
Enticing my nostrils.
I move with harmonious rhythm,
Parting the strands of cloud with my hands,
My eyes seeing beyond
To the first of the stairways.
There you are, dark hair in cascade,
Gesturing for me to follow you,
Into the unknown mystery of the stairway.
Your eyes reflect my image,
In amusement but in knowledge:
This is my first time here,
Yet you exist here.
It is time for you to show me your domain.
You look so beautiful to my vision,
An energy surrounds you and bathes you,
Like the pale moonshine on calm waters,
Fluid and flowing from you, my spirit.
I follow as you glide down the stairway,
Your footsteps as graceful as soft, falling leaves,
Your smile uplifting my spirits,
I am no longer afraid when I look at you.
I walk behind you,
Noticing your subtle movements and flows,
It is as if you are part of the dream surroundings,
Coalescing together with you in unity.
To either side of the stairway,
I catch fleeting glimpses of imagery:
Of colours, of moonlight, of movement,
We are not alone here.
The warmth in the air breathes into me,
I feel the energy enveloping us as we move,
Swaying to a silent beat,
In this enchantment within the dream dance.
You stop for a moment, and look at me,
To my delight you lean forward
Cup my face in your hands and kiss me
Softly, delicately, on my lips.
The colours expand, and merge into my sight,
Suddenly, the world around us blazes in fire,
Then at the same time soothes as ointment,
I can't quite explain the enormity of it,
Yet I feel enlightened,
Part of this flowing miasma of energy,
Part of you as your spirit touched me,
Latching itself into my own being.
I look at you with fond eyes.
I sense the power within you.
I intuitively feel you, next to me.
This is the beginning of our dream dance.
