Alchemy of Love

GENRE: Poetry

FOR: Anyone

DESCRIPTION:

Alchemy of Love was written over two years and contains thirty-nine new poems about the world we live in and the thoughts of the author as the seasons change.

It is a work glowing with dreams, romance and fantasy, exploring the four seasons of nature, the warmth and the cold, the dark and the light. It is a work inspired by the world around us, and the inspiration that can be seen in the scenery and the life of the planet.

Alchemy of Love

Brave, gentle spark -
How I admire you.
You have given me much,
In hours of shadow.

A caress, a smile,
A peal of mischievous laughter,
It is enough to lighten my mood.
These enticing, glowing moments,
Are all around you.
An intoxicating aura, irresistible.

To shine like you do,
In the midst of tide and decay,
Is so rare and beautiful.
My sweet alchemy of love,
I will never forget you.

The world seethes and bubbles around you,
As time swirls around us all.
I grasp each golden ember while I can,
Feel the warmth of the fire.
It will remain lit,
Long after you leave me.

One day, then,
I will come and find you,
In the place where time has
No more meaning.
We will kiss, and entwine,
Pain will become and old forgotten dream.

Wait for me.

Lust of Blood

A bite, and the blood flows.
A slow, red river, trickling down white flesh.
The black of her dress makes her skin
Stand out all the more.
A white ghost in the darkness.
There is no malice about her.
She threatens no-one.
Yet she laps at the red with great relish,
Like she is drinking fine red wine.
It is a strange fascination,
Watching her.

Long nails and eye shadow.
Mascara shining in the gloom.
Sounds and smells of black leather.

My own hidden desires,
Come unbidden,
Startling images I never knew
My mind could conceive.
I see her,
Tearing down velvet curtains,
Robing herself in them,
Purple cradled to her skin.
Her piercing black pupils
Boring into me,
In a lust of blood.
My head pounds, overwhelmed,
And then the dream fades.
For a moment I stood
In another world.

Dark.
Beautiful.

Part of me always seems to linger there.

Echo Of Souls

I just want to talk.
Not meaningless, endless gossip -
But a sharing of deep spiritual
Bonds.

I just want to cuddle.
Not simply a friendly greeting -
But an intimate, long-filled
Embrace.

I just want to know you.
Not another acquaintance, a distant friend -
But a trusting, passionately warmed
Soul.

I sing echoes.

I just want to learn.
Not from daily, silly mistakes -
But a deep knowledge of all
Life.

I just want to know calm.
Not the numbing quiet of an argument gone -
But the stillness deep inside me, the inner
Peace.

I just want to know myself.
Not my name, nor my interests -
But my true, incandescent
Being.

I sing echoes.
